Spotify Latinx Heritage Month
visual art
2020
During last year Latinx Heritage Month, Spotify launched Lo Nuestro es Arte, featuring creators in the music, podcast, and visual art space who helped reinforce and affirm Latinx culture—and the work of Latinx creators—as invaluable art.
Together with other 4 visual artists (Orly Anan, Cristina Martinez, Luisa Salas and D’Ana Nunez), I was commissioned to create work inspired by the Reggaetton genre and the Mija podcast. The pieces were featured throughout the campaign behind artists like Romeo Santos, Helado Negro, Ivy Queen and Natanael Cano. It was also displayed on billboards in New York, Miami, and Los Angeles, as well as a virtual art gallery accessible through Snapchat.
